I want to raise awareness for human rights issues and injustice that takes place around the world each day, much of which a lot of us know nothing about. Injustice seeps into every area of life and I would like to actively be involved in trying to change this. Writing this blog brings me a little closer to achieving this. In 1999 The World Bank produced a study called "Voices Of The Poor" in which 10s of 1000s of people living poverty participated. They named their biggest daily concern as fear of violence. Not hunger or homelessness.
